Our organization is deciding to use either SQLite and MySQL for our database. We understand that SQLite is a single-file database and MySQL is just a normal database. But in your opinion, what's the better option?

Hi,

MySQL is worthy of  large scale production environments andreasons to use MySQL. SQLite is great for testing and prototyping, or for embedding in applications and guidance on when to use SQLite

SQLite:

It is easier to setup. It is great for temporary (testing databases). It is great for rapid development. It is great for embedding in an application. It doesn’t have user management. It doesn’t have many performance features. It doesn’t scale well.

MySQL:

It is far more difficult/complex to set up. It has better options for performance tuning. It can scale well if tuned properly. It can manage users, permissions.
