A part of my organization is producing petabytes of data each year at one of our sites. They've asked me to fill up our multi-petabyte NAS to stimulate a system that's been running for a long time so we can analyze the software while it's running on our storage system. Now I could write a script but it may take weeks to do this so is there any recommendations on how to farm out the script? Should I run this on a NAS device? Are there any third-party products that I should use as well?
