I use clonezilla freeware disaster recovery, disk cloning and deployment solution. Allows a user to clone an individual machine or many computers simultaneously

Tivoli Storage Manager with Fastback will give you what you are looking for. TSM will give the backuprestore of your systems while the fastback portion will give the bare metal part you are after. Note that TSM does not use the outdated Grandfatherfatherson method of backup but uses an incremental forever model
