It is increasingly apparent both in national and global health plans, that Information and Communication Technologies have a key role to play in addressing today's health challenges. eHealth is fast growing in Europe and UK, with many health services going paperless or offering digital/ electronic services (e.g. national programmes for diabetes retinopathy screening in England). International agencies such as WHO have also caught-up, encapsulating eHealth within their strategies for addressing MDGs and other global health challenges The eHealth industry is still quite young and full of potential, particularly in developing countries worst of affected by the world's health problems. eHealth pilot projects in developing countries often result in sustainability failure. However, there is no turning back as UN member states are urged to adopt and implement national eHealth policies. So my question to you experts is: WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO SUSTAIN EHEALTH IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES?????
