I have a SATA drive that does not write what voltages are required for SATA 3.3v/5v/12v, as I have only 3.3v and 5v not the 12v. Do I have to chase pins 5/6 on the data bus to find the problem?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

First confirm with the drive specs what voltages you do need.
Most SATA drives dont use the 3.3v, but do use the 12v. So very likely, thats what it is in your case as well. But you would need to look at the specs to confirm.
