COBOL with CICS & DB2 experience is still needed in large corporations.
Also it is not too difficult to migrate to other IT environment/ platform with solid mainframe experience. All is needed is the zeal, goal and determination.

That’ll set you up for success long-term. Also, make sure you establish a clear set of goals you hold yourself accountable to like what I talk about here.
