What subnet mask should I use on my IP range if I only need 100 IP addresses? Is 255.255.255.0 still ok?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

A subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 will allow for 254 IP addresses, so if you only need 100 that will certainly suffice, yes.

Agree w/ MrDenny – unless you have some NEED to subnet your private range, leaving it at 255.255.255.0 (/24) is more than fine..

What is your network address? If you actually need 100 addresses today and 255.255.255.0 can work for you, depending on your network address, you might choose 255.255.255.128 as a subnet mask. There is a potential that you might benefit from multiple subnet addresses. Tom
