Kindly let me know what special authority required to access collection services in iSeries Navigator(To pull graphs using iSeries Navigator in Collection services + Graph data)?
If you live outside the United States, by submitting your email address you consent to having your personal data transferred to and processed in the United States.
To start/stop Collection Services, SPCAUT(*JOBCTL) is needed. Additional authorities to *EXECUTE and *USE or *CHANGE related objects is also needed. To see related authorities, signon through iNav with a profile that has no authorities and try to start a collection. When the request fails, the failure message box should have a “Details” button that will list all object authorities needed. — Tom
The minimum special authority for that function is SPCAUT(*NONE). Viewing those isn’t a very troublesome activity. — Tom
BTW, it’s probably faster and easier to test that than it is to type in a question here and wait for an answer. — Tom
Tom,Which special authority required to “Start Collecting data” in Navigator.(To set the collection cycle for performance data)ThanksGK
