We're looking for a new machine for C# development and testing but we want to maximize its compatibility with new APIs. This is because we've realized Metro-type applications can't be beat with Windows 7 or Server 2008 so we thought Windows 8 and Server 2012 would do the trick. However, we read applications can't be built on Server 2012. Is there a difference of what programs can be built between Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012?
