All organizations benefit from Virtualization of all sizes and all verticals. If you have servers Virtualization will help. Is it the solution for everything, probably not, but it will definitely help you save money. Now OS virtualization isn't always the solution for Desktop Virtualization, Terminal Services may be a better fit, or even App-V or Med-V for different scenarios.

great answer Edwin. My organization is in the healthcare industry. Specifically in the counseling for mental health. http://www.fccin.org. We have virtualized a lot of our servers and will virtualize all new from now on. We are lucky in the fact that most of our users use thin clients to run terminal server sessions on our network. There are still a lot of desktops that are used with specialty applications but I have also started virtualizing desktops with windows xp pro. it works great and makes it much faster to deploy a new server or desktop for our end users.

I can’t imagine any organization not being able to benefit from virtualization, at least in its most basic form.
