I work for an accounting and payroll softaware company. To find content ideas, I have several methods. I look at some of our online ‘help’ documents and printed training materials until I find a subject that is timely and useful for our customers (and prospects). I also get daily updates with Google Alerts for about 20 of our best keywords, so sometimes I’ll find a timely subject to write about from the results of those alerts. Sometimes I also just pick up the phone and start calling customers. This is a GREAT help in learning what is on their minds. So, that’s how I come up with my inspiration!
