Hubs are made because they are bought.Hubs are fine for home users, and simple office networks with limited network traffic can be okay with them.In critical business networks, hubs have limited use and should be limited in how they’re used. They can be temporarily useful by inserting into a segment and sniffing the traffic for troubleshooting through one of the ports. For the same reason, hubs shouldn’t be left in place.Tom
