What is the difference between =+ and =?
Hi, I have a excel sheeting showing a formula as c1=+A1*B1. What does it mean? If I try with C1=A1*B1 the results are same. Then why do we need =+? pls help. Arun.K.S sarunmphil@gmail.com

Answer Wiki:
No difference in the result But there would be a difference if the formula uses =- c1=-A1*B1 It would multiply A1 * -1 and then by B1. So with a + sign excel might multiply A1 * +1 and then by B1. If it does, then it takes a little more processor time but the result will be the same. Phil
