Hi, I want to configure DNS and DHCP in Centos 5.0. Could anyone let me know how to configure it through command line?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

For DHCP

From the command line type: system-config-network

If it doesn’t work. use YUM to install it: yum install system-config-network

Tab to your network card – hit enter

Tab down and select Use DHCP

Tab down and select Ok – hit enter

Quit

type ifconfig

Check you have received an IP address from DHCP.

Change directory to /etc – cd /etc

type: cat resolve.conf

Check the output for the correct DNS server assigned by DHCP.
