 What is the best raid configuration for me?
RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 10, RAID Array, RAID configuration, Storage arrays
What is the difference between a raid 1, raid 0 and a raid 10? Which is optimal for a 5 1tb drives? The data will be file storage and we can sacrifice 1tb for parity

5 1tb hard drives

I guess it depends what you want to do with the server..if it is for SQL then it will be better to have 1+0 as it will return faster response. but if you want to use for normal u can use raid 5 too....once you have 5 HDD, you can use about 4TB of space. Explanation of RAID is here.
