Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Two technologies: PowerPivot for Excel= Free add-in to Microsoft Excel 2010. PowerPivot for SharePoint=allows for publishing, access and management of apps directly in SharePoint. PowerPivot for Excel is an free Excel Add-in that allows you to easily access data from diverse data sources, easily mashup data within Excel, process large volumes of data (millions to hundreds of millions of rows), use native Excel capabilities to analyze the data. With PowerPivot for SharePoint – which requires SQL Server 2008 R2 installed with SharePoint 2010 – users can publish their PowerPivot Workbooks to SharePoint in the PowerPivot Gallery. They are easily accessed and rendered via Excel Services; data is refreshed via a pre-determined schedule.

I think a lot of people arriving at this site for the first time already know quite a bit about what PowerPivot is, but a few people have expressed curiosity: it would be easier to understand why the site is called PowerPivotPro if we knew what PowerPivot was in the first place. There are a lot of good places to read about PowerPivot, so I won’t go super deep here. Instead I’ll give you a summary in my own words, and then point you elsewhere for the details and the snazzy demos. For more information visit http://powerpivotpro.com/what-is-powerpivot/
