passing the Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1, i.e. ICND1& ICND2. CCNA covers skills like specifically on administer devices on small or medium-sized networks. CCIE is the highest level for Cisco. CCNA is just the stepping stone and the level continues to go up.
Valuable for whom, employer or employee? In what industry? What region? What size of organization and network? A lot of effort can go into becoming over qualified for available jobs. Just as true, lack of effort can reduce opportunity. Experience relevant to a job opening is always useful. — Tom
