I was an executive for a few Fortune 500 companies from mid 80's to 2001.  Now I want back into corporate life after being a financial analyst that went rogue.  Every position for which I want to apply states their minimum requirements for a candidate and undoubtedly one of those requirements is: "must understand or have worked with SAP".  I'm not sure I know to what they are referring.  Does anyone out there know how one becomes proficient in SAP?  Where do I start?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

SAP is a software package that handles the finances for pretty much every large company out there. You can check out their site sap.com for more info about them and their products. SAP is a massive application that takes years (or more) to learn. There are classes to get into the basics but each company will have a different implementation.
