well what i think about dual boot is if you have lets say 4GB of ram and you have a lot of hard disk space, you can mix like XP(x86) and also windows 7 (x64) together and you can have different flavours. XP and windows 7 is just an example
Dual-boot was far more useful before virtualization with terabyte drives became common. Now…? Specific circumstances would need to be given. — Tom
I guess for me dual boot may harm your PC in a long time use. Much better to use virtualization instead.
