Is an ISA server a replacement for a firewall? Will it let me prevent users from getting to specific websites like a filter? Will it work with XP SP3 clients?
Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway, formerly known as Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server (ISA Server), is a network security and protection solution for Microsoft Windows, described by Microsoft as "enables businesses by allowing employees to safely and productively use the Internet for business without worrying about malware and other threats". It can be configured to perform a number of functions including remote access server, proxy, firewall and web content filtering.
........and it will work with your clients running XP SP3.

yup, it would allow you to restrict specific websites that you want them to have access, but in terms of replacement for a firewall it wouldn’t totally replace them it’s just a way of having control on the networks the way to access the vast information
