Some of the answers to your questions will come from the “other kind of networking”–namely, sharing your goals and desires to find employment, and your background, interests, and qualifications with family, friends, former schoolmates, and others sufficiently interested in your success to help you along the way. These are the people most likely to know about jobs that may never be advertised, and to help steer your toward them if you can convince your social network to help you further your job search.

I’d also suggest reaching out to your alma mater (the institution that granted you your BE degree) to see if they might not also be able to help with job recommendations and placement information. If you keep looking, keep working on your certifications, and leave no stone unturned in your search for work you may find yourself in a new position at about the same time you complete your sought-after credentials.

Like Mr. Beaver, Googling from the US doesn’t give me a good perspective from which to estimate IT salaries in India, except to observe that they are probably not as low as they might be in the worst of cases, but still somewhat less than you were probably hoping to earn.
