Talking about third-party vendors, I mean that there are few world-known brands such as Ciena, Infinera, Alcatel-Lucent etc; also there are some second-order (not so famous, but with good reputation) brands like Transmode, PacketLight or Ekinops.
Products which they offer have good reputation, they are built as a complex system with common management.
And there are a lot of Chinese vendors, who offer just separate components, like EDFA, MUX, DCM etc, from which you can build a system by yourself.
I wonder, does anybody have any experience with such equipment?
