I am in the process of creating a website for me and some friends. I have already purchased a hosting site, but am having trouble designing the layout. I know the layout that I want; just like this website www.interimo.org. My question is more like a request. Can someone please explain to me, why type of layout that website is, and how i can go about creating something just like it in my webspace. Thankyou or any answers/assistance.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Looks like this site is created using PHPbb, another potential content management solution is called dotnetnuke.

These are very easy to use once installed and require little knowledge of HTML coding and web page design since they are generally pretty generic out of the box.

The look of the site, however, is mostly graphics design stuff. Photoshop or some other graphics editing software will be helpful in this area in addition to knowing how to use the content management software.

Here are some tutorials I found after taking a second look at the answer:

What Jlees failed to mention was that PHPbb comes pretty bare bones. It appears that that site is running version 3 of PHPbb, which is pretty new. It has some nice features, but there aren't too many layouts out there for it yet. If you are going to want a nice layout, you may need to design your own. The good people at PHPbb do have some nice walkthroughs, but it's still a learning curve. The install is pretty easy, but the customization is far from "plug and play" if you want custom.
