Websense user needs to be domain admin?
Our networking team asked for a user to be a domain admin for Websense. They claim that it needs to be a domain admin to query your login to the computer so they know it is you who logged onto that computer and browsed the website it is monitoring. I understand why the account needs domain admin priveleges to do that, but my experience with an older version of Websense says it's not necessary to get reporting on where users are browsing since the LDAP conneciton Websense uses can track that kind of information. Does the new version of Websense really need these rights to do this?

I was looking at the websense website. There are a variety of websense products. Can you be specific about which one of them are you dealing with? A cached google page comes up with this : http://74.125.93.132/search?q=cache:idTryd-_-CEJ:www.websense.com/SupportPortal/Tutorials/1476.aspx+websense+domain+admin+account&cd=5&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=firefox-a
