Ok where is the server located , first build a home page name it index.html and place this test page in your web server. If you are more specific about the hosting server its OS etc I can answer you in much detail.

Your Hosting Company will generally have a page on their site with the basics of settign up a website. You will need an FTP program such as Filezilla . This program allows you to connect to your web host’s server and then transfer your webfiles. You will need the FTP Site and password from your hosting company to connect to the server.

This book Web Sites for Dummies is a wonderful resource for both beginners and those with a few sites in their experience.

The Program First Page Free Edition is an easy to use program to develop HTML pages.

Good Luck
