web-based GPS tracking application development with asp.net

i'm a final year degree student majoring in network computing. 
i'm developing a GPS related web application where data is being taken from a gps tracker (TK-102), which can send data to a ip address and port number defined. there for i need to save this data to a database and then represent it on a map. m planing to use ASP.net and google maps. 
is there anyone who is familiar with this type of application, who could guide me? 
currently m tryin to load google maps to asp.net page.(since i need to show some UI to supervisour) 
anyone can show me a easy guide to do this?

all of the open source GPS web apps are for linux systems.
