We have a shared mailbox - shared with 5 people across UK and US offices. The performance is very poor when opening files - especially those with email attachments (typically 1 to 5MB). For our own mailboxes we use cached exchange mode - so there is a local *.ost copy. My question is - is there any way to do this for a "shared mailbox" to improve performance.

Answer Wiki:
You could create a separate mail profile for the shared mailbox and use cached mode for it. Of course you would have to close your own ooutlook and open the shared mailbox profile to utilize the cached mode with it.
