WAP Interferes with Network Switches

WAP, Wireless, NAGIOS, Network switches, Switches

Recently I got a new PoE outdoor wireless access point. When attempting to configure the device in my office for the first time, everything seemed ok. When I deployed the unit inside the building to test it, I noticed several network switches including the one it was connected to acting up and NAGIOS sent me a bunch of error messages. I disconnected the device and brought it into my office. I reset the device and reconfigured as it was before. I was originally thinking IP address conflict, but I assign everything its own specific static IP through DHCP, so I ruled that out. The other funny thing is that the device seems to only effect the PoE ports on the network switches. I then took the unit, reset it, and then flashed it's firmware. The problems lessened, but I also decreased the error sensitivity in NAGIOS. Any ideas?
