Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

SAP has been a major supplier of business applications software that first ran on mainframes, and is now popular on a wide range of platforms, running under UNIX, Linux, and Windows. Mainframes are still using by many more companies. While SAP has latest tools to make the processes easy that are best in the world. And you will be happy to hear that, now mainframe’s codes are being specialized for people to understand the process and redevelop in other software. And still now mainframes are in demand. I am not going to write much rather you may see here for SAP on Linux on a Mainframe.

Although, you have also MBA + worked knowledge of banking, you also consider for SAP FICO

And also see an earlier posts here: What’s the future of SAP in the industry?
But always consult with your nearest stuffs who deals that kind of sorts and if possible ask for a consult firm regarding this issue.

Experience of working in a function is important and perhaps only a MBA degree may not help. Perhaps it is better to work get attached to a functional expert and engage in providing support to a functional area and then graduate to become a functional specialist.
