Answer Wiki:
SAP has been a major supplier of business applications software that first ran on mainframes, and is now popular on a wide range of platforms, running under UNIX, Linux, and Windows. Mainframes are still using by many more companies. While SAP has latest tools to make the processes easy that are best in the world. And u will be happy to hear that, now mainframe's codes r being specialized for ppl to understand the process and redevelop in other software. And still now mainframes r in demand. I am not going to write much rather u may see here for SAP on Linux on a Mainframe Although, u have also MBA + worked knowledge of banking, u also consider for SAP FICO And also see an earlier Posts Here But always consult with ur nearest stuffs who deals that kind of sorts and if possible ask for a consult firm regarding this issue.

Experience of working in a function is important and perhaps only a MBA degree may not help. Perhaps it is better to work get attached to a functional expert and engage in providing support to a functional area and then graduate to become a functional specialist.
