 Vsphere installation
I have downloaded the trail version of Vsphere from VMware Site on to My PC. I want to install it. Is it mandatory to have dedicated Server for running V sphere in your P.C? Please guide regarding the installation of VSPHERE.

Yes a dedicated machine is required to run vSphere. vSphere is what is called a bare metal hypervisor which means that it runs directly on the hardware and not within another operating system. When you install vSphere it will format the hard drive and install itself on the disk. You can then connect to the vSphere application via the management tool which runs on Windows from your workstation and create virtual machines.

I guess deticated system might not be required.

System will be good when it meets the following configuration

Dual core with above 2.6
min 3 GB RAM
80 GB HDD

Vsphere will run perfectly with 2 guest OS (Linux or Windows)

also use VMware workstation(6.5, 7) for installing VSphere inside host (Windows or Linux)
