I have Wifi system on separate vlan and VPN is enabled on the Sonicwall 2040. Access works fine when accessing from outside the establishment IE home or cafe, but when I try the VPN from the wifi system we have setup it won't go through. What am I missing?

Software/Hardware used:
Sonicwall 2040

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Are you getting an error message when trying to VPN to the other network? Or is it just timing out?

under zones, enable WLAN to VPN, and VPN to WLAN connectivity.

Do you have access lists in place for each interfac on the Sonicwall? If so, is the VPN client you're using attempting to connect to a gatway that supports NAT-Traversal? If so, you need to make sure that UDP port 4500 is allowed. Also, if you're on the WIFI network (this is a configured interface on the Sonicwall correct?) and trying to make a VPN connection to the public interface of the firewall it normally doesn't work as a firewall won't allow traffic to leave and then re-enter the same interface. Can you please provide a more descriptive network diagram.
