VPN Setup 2003 Server
I have one domain server. I tried to set up the RAS VPN service as outlined in Microsoft's Knowledge base. How ever if I get the vpn to work then no one on the internal network can access the internet. I understand they use the same services. Is there a way to configure the RAS for VPN and allow local network users access to the Internet?

not a lot of information here. If this is the only server you have, does it also provide dns? dhcp? gateway/firewall? I would check the IP pool RAS is taking, also routes, proxy assignment. In a single server, all your network services need to work together, and sometimes services step on each others toes

Is this an external VPN that's connecting to the same external IP address that everyone is using to NAT on to the internet? My knowledge is a little shaky on this, so I'm willing to be proved wrong, but I imagine that causing an issue...
Yes this is a single server invironment that does DNS, DHCP I have a Lynksys Gateway Router that does DHCP replay pointed to the DHCP server. I have tried the lynksys vpn client... it links in but you still cannot access files or computers. I spoke with linksys and they are aware of the issue and reported several of thier routers have the same issue and they do not know why. They are investigating. So I need to move ahead and try to get the RAS working so that my local users can access internet and still allow VPN connections using Windows native VPN software.
