Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Which part of ‘Virtual PRIVATE Network’ did you not understand. The purpose of VPN is to ISOLATE you from the big, bad world. You have proven that it is working. Congratulations. If you are using ‘Windows’ you can look at ‘Network Places’ and see that the VPN is a different connection from your normal IP Address. Any changes to proxies or trying to add internet sharing throw away the security achieved by using the VPN and can compromise your entire network. Any virus/worm introduced through a compromised VPN connection is in the heart of your network.
Please be careful and Good Luck.

Alex, you need to specify where you are connecting from and to. When you say intranet, I'm assuming you mean the intranet at your workplace. Likewise, I'm assuming that you are connecting from outside somewhere. But....you have not specified, so we're forced to guess - not a good thing in this business. The next questions are: Are you in the IT department and having trouble administering the VPN? Are you a frustrated end-user? Do you know what connectivity you are supposed to have? Write back with more complete and specific information and we'll try to help. Bob
