Answer Wiki:
A Linksys VPN router would handle client based VPN connections to the router or possibly a VPN tunnel between the Linksys VPN router and another device(ie router, VPN concentrator, firewall). MPLS on the other hand, would be a completely different animal. Although MPLS networks typically support layer 2 and layer 3 VPN's, these tend to be transparent to everyone but the service provider themselves. What specifically are you trying to accomplish?

Even if you’re trying to set up a Gateway-to-Gateway or Client-to-Gateway VPN connection, then most Cisco Small Business devices (Cisco is phasing out the “linksys” tagging) with the letters “RV” in the model (RV042, WRVS4400n, RV120W, etc) would allow you to really do both, and are really easy to set up.

Depending on the size of your network, the MPLS connection may be a bit of over-kill..
