VOIP help


VoIP, Avaya, Cisco

I have avaya voip phones on my network and I need to setup an ip helper to get them over to a particlaur vlan. The reason is that if they go down they can not find their config info. What should the statement on the Cisco router look like

The command is "ip helper-address 123.123.123.123".

After you log in, you'll need to go into the "enable" mode by typing "enable" at the prompt.
You'll then need to change into "Config mode" by typing "conf t"
Enter into the interface command context by typing in "interface FastEthernet0/1"* You'll need to replace the "FastEthernet0/1" part with the right interface*
Finally, type in "ip helper-address 123.123.123.123".
