 VMWare Workstation 5.5 on Windows 7
How can I uninstall this version of VMWare workstation on Windows 7. When I attempt to uninstall, the computer blue screens. I bought this computer 2 days ago so I am not sure what the issue is. I am running a 32 bit Windows 7 OS.

not sure can work but try this, set the compatibility mode of the vmware to XP sp 2 or 3 then try to uninstall. if cannot see what you see from the event logs Sounds like at a minimum you'll be re-imaging your PC. Then upgrade your VM product or move over to another Win7 compatible product.

There’s a lot of missing information here. Did you install the VMware Workstation yourself, or was it on the machine when you purchased it? Was there an error code on the blue screen, and did you check it in the Microsoft Knowledge base?

Additionally, I note that the current release of VMware Workstation is 7.1. Workstation 5.5 was designed to be installed on Windows XP and Windows 2000. You may need assistance from VMware Tech Support to uninstall this product from a Windows 7 machine.
