 VMware View Composer initialization error

Getting a "vmware view composer agent initialization" error after recomposing an assigned VM. When we access the VM - it creates a new profile instead of mapping to the existing profile. What are some of the common reasons for losing profile settings on the data disk? Thank you very much. Moderator Note: This is a submitted question
