 VMware guests network traffic
iSCSI, Network traffic, VMware Guests, Windows Server 2003
If I have a iSCSI target server and a regular Windows 2003 server on the same host, will the iSCSI network traffic between the 2 VMWare guests stay internal or does it actually somehow goes out and back in.

Software/Hardware used:
VMware, iscsi, Windows Server 2003

It will actually go out to the physical port and come back in. VMware doesn't make the assumption that the destination that the packets are going to are on the same server so it will send the traffic out to the network port which will then send it back to the other guest.
