It sounds like you have a bad NIC on the server. Try installing a new NIC card, or if the hardware is still under warranty call the OEM and have them replace the NIC or motherboard (if the NIC is built on).

Hi guys thanks for the information.
The virtual machines are local to the server on the local hard-drives. The server has 2 NIC cards on the motherboard so I have swapped over to the other NIC card. It seems to have stopped kicking me out for the time being, however when I go to convert a machine using the Standalone Convertion tool then I get the following error:
FAILED: Unable to connect to the virtual disk.
Error: Failed to clone disk 0 on the virtual machine ‘<servername>’.
This is for a Powered off system, if I try using the convertion tool on a powered on system I get the following error:
A general system error occurred: vmodl.fault.InvalidRequest
Is this starting to look like the hard-drives are the issue? or possibly still on board NIC?
Please note that clients are able to connect to these systems and use them without any problems at all. The only problem is getting them off of this server and onto another!!
Any help would be very much appreciated
Thanks
