VMware error message: Virtual network drivers incompatible with installed VMware application
VMware Workstation, VMware Workstation 6.5, VMware Workstation Upgrade, VM, Virtual Machines, Virtual Machine Replication, VMware Workstation 5.5 Please note: The following question was recently submitted via e-mail by a user.
I upgraded a VM to Workstation 6.5 (build 126130), on Windows XP Professional. The VM build is from an old computer that was running 5.0.0 (build 13124) which I upgraded after the fact.
When I run the VM on the new computer, I get the following error message:
"The virtual network drivers on the host are incompatible with the installed VMWare application. Expected version 5. Please reinstall the product."
I don't have any network capability with this; it starts it as disconnected.
