Using VMWare Workstation 10 in conjunction with Rockwell RSLogix 5000.  Have installed the rockwell software and windows 7 on the VM.  Specified a 40GB hard disk size.  Software runs fine but the actual size of the VM is 115GB.  No snapshots, have tried cleaning the disk, compacting, but nothing helps.  There is a 97GB virtual disk file in the folder that cannot be explained.  The rest of the virtual disks are the expected approx 2GB.  Contacted Rockwell as this is a common configuration to have this software running on a virtual machine and they have had no reports of this symptom.  Issue with the VMware.

Software/Hardware used:
VMWare Workstation, RSLogix 5000, RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5
