 Virtual Machine disconnects from network
Have a strange issue. A couple of VM's(on the same host) get disconnected from the network. Rebooting the VM or checking/unchecking the "Connected" and "Connected at power ON" option may sometimes work or may not. When it does not, vmotion the VM's to a different host and the moment the task completes 100% they are back on the network. All the ESX hosts are at the same patch level. However, the VMtools on all the VM's need to be updated, but all of them are at the same update level. The issue started only after the hosts were updated a couple of days back and we had 3 VM's(on the same host) disconnected from the network. Any thoughts ? Following have been checked: Vswitch has enough ports available. Network settings for the VM(All VM's are configured with Flexible) VM logs ESX host logs where the VM resided during the incident. Virtual Switch and VLAN settings on the ESX host the VM resided during the incident. No events in the OS related to network disconnections.

Answer Wiki:
I would start with a VMtool update. Having an incorrect VMtool version can cause all sorts of funky problems.
