We have 2 switches with different ip range say 10.1.10.0 and 10.1.15.0.I want to connect both the switches with same vlan say vlan 4 so that they can communicate.switch 1 should be valn 2 and vlan 4 but switch 2 should be vlan 4.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Switches are tradionally layer 2, so in order for two different networks to communicate, you need a layer 3 device (router,layer3 switch, firewall) that can route between the two networks. If you just want hosts on the same VLAN to communicate with each other through the two switches, all you need is a cross-over cable connected to a port on each switch in the same VLAN. This setup will allow all nodes say in VLAN 4 to communicate across the two switches, but VLAN 4 will not be able to communicate with VLAN 2
