 VLAN subnetting
I have a domain controller running in 2000 and running an exchange server 2003 in a member server also have files servers and one DHCP server. These are in 192.168.0.0 range. This NW have total of 230 clients .So we need to isolate 50 clients from this network and put it on VLAN because the 50 users are in one department those are in different floors. We can simply create a VLAN to solve this issue. But since the class C NW only support 254 clients .We need to put this 50 clients in different subnet such as 192.168.1.0. The static public IPS are available to create a separate NW for the 50 clients .Can any one suggest a good decision .The separate NW needs to be accessed the ADS and the existing NW.

Answer Wiki:
If you have layer 3 siwtches then its strongly recommended to have a vlan for these 50 users. You can make use of the same active directory and dhcp server. Just create a seperate dhcp scope in different subnet. You can restrict the new subnet by using access lists. You can permit these 50 users to access only the required devices.
