Vista file share slow
Microsoft Vista file sharing, Vista
Does anyone have a idea why access to excel file on a vista share drive would be slow. All of the other file types open normally, the .xls files are 2 mb or less.

If the excel file works fine when copied to the local hard drive, you need to optimize the network connectivity for that machine. Avoid hubs and try to plug the machine directly to the core of your network.
