vista blocks windows updates
Vista Update Problem, Vista, Windows Update
why does vista block windows updates to administrator?  hAVE DOWNLOADED, BUT CANNOT INSTALL iNTERNET explorer 8, running ver 7 at present.  Cannot install security updates.  Might be because I was impatient, and during a slow update 3 months ago, I pulled the plug.

Blocking automatic updates or when you manually go to the windows update site?

You might need to get the genuine advantage nonsense to make it work right, and that might require doing it manually.
