Vision iTera

HA, Replication software, iTera, Vision Solutions

We are thinking of purchasing iTera from Vision Solutions to use as our HA replication software. I'm looking for feedback from anyone that has used the product. Positive or negative.

Vision Solutions has 3 different products, Mimix, iTera and OMS400, that are HA products. I have used all 3 of the different products. iTera is easy to use. If you plan on doing Role Swaps, iTera has a great part where you can do a virtual role swap and it will let you know if your system could do a role swap or if there would be problems encountered. You would be able to do all of this without having to end anything or limit users from being on the system. Easy to use in finding problems, files out of sync and fixing the issues. The only thing I found that I really didn't like was not having the capability to send to a cross-referenced library, especially with products like Robot/Schedule. If you are using any of the HelpSystems products, they have a list to go by for files that should not be mirrored.
