 Visible red light at 850nm
Why are SFP's used in SAN devices (brocade, emulex, cisco) emit visible red light if their specs say they operate at 850nm wavelength which is outside of visible electomagnetic spectrum? Even though they are class 1 lasers is it safe to view the beam with the naked eye?
