Q:
Virtualization for Dummies?
I know (pardon the pun) virtually nothing about virtualization and VCB script, but have been tasked with learning enough to configure VCB scripting to backup current VMs. I have been researching, and find there is plenty of information, scripting examples, etc - but nothing very basic that gives me a starting point I can use to make sense of this information. Is anyone aware of any material aimed at the greenest newbie imaginable?

You might start with some of the VCB links here.

Thank you. I found an overwhelming amount of sites that had information, but did finally find a VMWare for Dummies, which was the proper level for me to start out at. http://ca.wiley.com/WileyCDA/WileyTitle/productCd-0470277939.html

There is also some great information available on training videos, if anyone else out there is needing to familiarize themselves: http://www.trainsignal.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=90

There’s yet more information here: in these server virtualization webcasts from Microsoft.
