Virtual Server 2005 and Windows Server 2008 installation error

Virtual server 2005 R2 running on Windows server 2003 SP2 Enterprise edition .when i try to install Windows server 2008 using the ISO image attached to VM. I
keep getting this error: "Windows installation has encountered an error and
needs to be restarted."
Any Suggestions?

First, I would recommend to make sure that the image is not the problem. Please test that image on a non-virtual machine if possible, or try to install using another image.
Second, Virtual server 2005 R2 needs an update in order to be able to run Windows Server 2008.
